How many former VU players have played in the National Football League? I was suprised.....
four? Fuzzy, of course, Gary Puetz, and ...two others?? No guesses.
Actually there are have been eight....I would have guessed three, Fuzzy Thurston, Gary Puetz and Abe Gibron...but apparently there have been five others...Here's the list....

Gilbert, Wally (1923 - 1926)
Puetz, Garry (1973 - 1982)

White, Roy (1925 - 1929)
Anyone know anything about any of these guys...especially Steve Bradley who was in the league in 1987....the others were way back when the NFL was starting....
Accept Gary, who played with Joe Namath. Gary was a frat brother of mine.
I meant other than Puetz, Thurston and Gibron.....the rest, except for Bradley were in the 20's...

Here's what I remember about Steve Bradley. He was a three-year starting QB at Indiana. He did spend one year at Valpo, but I don't think he played. He was a replacement player with the Bears in the 1987 strike season (spare Bears). As of about 10 years ago, he was a car salesman in his hometown of Knox, Indiana.
