Tedeschi Capitel dei Nicalo 2003
The flavour of this 'turbo-Valpo' suggests dried cherry, mushroom and underbrush.

Like Italy. Fans of Valpolicella, normally a light red for glugging with pizza and pasta, are in for a treat with Tedeschi Capitel dei Nicalo 2003, launched last week in specialty Vintages sections. For the record, it's pronounced teh-DESS-kee, and it's what one might call a "turbo-Valpo."

Had anyone ever heard of this wine called the "turbo-Valpo?"

Funny!  I had no idea Valpo was a grape.
