Just saw this on the Valpo athletic site. They've hired a new assistant head coach which means Bob Muckian is out. Muchian was asst. head coach and offensive coardinator and is also a Valpo grad. Coaching duties have shifted slightly.
Here's the story:

Muckian is totally off the web page. No mentioin of where he went or if he was let go or what. Right now there is only one (1) defensive coach in the entire staff section of the football website -- Silveus, the DC. There is no mention of the high school coach from closeby that signed on either. The coaches who did the majority of the 2013 class recruiting are still there (Teegardin and Bailey). Stability and continuity are suffering going into the new season.
Coach Muckian is well respected here and was definitely not let go. He is getting married this summer and got a job in New England for family reasons.

This is where someone might say that engagements in New England have Muckianed Up Valpo's coaching plans.
Who is Saint Anselm anyway?
Believe it or not he was once the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Before it fell into enemy hands, even.

Cur Deus Homo? and the
Proslogion, whence is derived his proof of the existence of God, which is actually couched in the form of a prayer.
I met the new "Muckian" today (at least he was in Bob's old office)... Mike Gravier... he's still learning his way around campus. And I met the new administrative assistant in the football office, Cindy Christ. Patti Nemeth chose to step down with some health issues. Keep her in your prayers. Thank you.
Maybe setshot knows something about Saint Anselm football, and what Bob Muckian being there would do for their program?
I can only imagine that some of the coaching shifting around has to do with the amount of money some of these coaches were making, and if they were full time staff or part timers working at other places to support their family(?) year-round?

Glad he left on good terms.
I'm glad he was able to get out of the football program with good health. Your health is important.
