VU milking a new cash cow opportunity:

NJIT offers to host displaced Saudi students after diplomatic dispute with Canada

"NJIT is one of a number of colleges across the country offering to take in Saudi students whose studies were cut short with only weeks' notice. Louisiana Tech University, Portland State University in Oregon and Valparaiso University in Indiana are also waiving application fees, among other steps to ease enrollment for Saudi students in Canada, Inside Higher Ed reported."

We've had programs tied to Saudi Arabia in the past, but believe that program ended when Trump took office.  Good to see that it might get started again.

Fine and dandy.

But what an odd grouping of the four.  How did we land on that island of misfit toys?

My guess is because we have had experience working with Saudi students before they got their new Prince and changed up their overseas scholarship program.  There are probably a lot of other schools as well. The waive application fee and such is pretty similar to what we did with St. Joes students as well.
