After playing at Grand Canyon last year will they be coming to the ARC this coming season as part of a home and home deal?

Drew crew would never agree to play Valpo ever.

Maybe if we just prayed more things would get better
Get the  :censored: outta here
If there were a God he's either inept or evil

Read Psalm 14:1

Thanks but I've got enough fictional books to read for now...

Declining attendance and now having to do buy one one free on a Saturday night game with no snow in the forecast or holidays or breaks???????

And again on Tuesday. All that chatter last year about improving the game day experience and garnering more student interest.

Did you all see Erik Bugg's recent social media post from when he played???!!!???

The student section was packed! The stands were packed! We were onto March Madness.

My oh my how we've fallen into a state of mediocrity. We celebrate moral victories and gauge the "improvement" of our team on .... dogging out of routine deficits we never should be in on such a constant basis? All with a pathetic attendance ... dwindling pep band .... and hardly existent student section.

There's no interest
Not just Valparaiso
Everywhere
Young people would rather be "doing " not watching
Especially at middle of the road places
Heck -power 5 conferences have attendance issues

The campaign is flying along!  Just had lunch with a Valpo representative who told me the current total is now at $244 million because of another very large gift--no, it didn't have anything to do with athletics.  :(

Anyone know if time wise we are on schedule to hit the goal that was set-or if there was one?

It would be nice if we don't get a bunch of "fire Lottich" posts after this game
Such over reactions on here it's really hard to enjoy this as a distraction from accounting work all day

The guy has done as good a job as you can expect following the Drew's
Players seem to like him and we don't see many off court issues with his team
Unfortunately we as fans think that Valpo should be contending for titles year after year

Those days are over. This league is tough. No easy games. We need to be thankful to be in the middle of the pack and consider a third place finish as a huge year

VUPD and Porter County PD are a joke. Booking someone for underage drinking is a ridiculous abuse of power and waste of resources

Knowing Fox's program the following players will face a 1-2 game suspension. Look for the team to play 55 freshman week one.

Call me a radical but I don't think 18 year olds drinking at a party is a booking offense, or news worthy, systematic problem with school and county. Big money maker for city.

Can't wait for the dying University to be shut down due to costs, student living , and student Life. If Valpo is D1 in 20 years I'll be shocked.

It's a shame. Old white guys have been running the country and this University as well as others too long
We need new blood across the board

OP Kretzman over valued Valpo-and was blinded by religion-which is much of the issue we have had trying to keep up with the times
Without the cross we are just Princeton?
Please
We aren't close to Princeton
I love Valpo and always will but that is a ridiculous statement
Alum from all schools believe that their school is "special"
Kinda like everyone thinks that their grandkids are the greatest

72 needs to get out from under the shroud
The school needs financial influx more than appeasing you grads who are holier than thou
Gays
Muslims
:censored: aliens.
Who cares as long as they pay
Too many old white guys on here
Seems familiar to another area ???

I am the only person in my entire family going tonight due to the "weather." Not my wife, not my children, not my grandchildren. What a weak group. I told them all that I need some quiet time to figure out where I went wrong.  ;)

Maybe you got it right- other interests-by the smartest generation
😉

You can't compare what happened when you were there (80s) I assume or even when I graduated in 13 to today
Kids are way different
Much more intelligent across the board and-like it or not- have hobbies and interests other than watching athletes bounce a ball
Those days are over-especially when we aren't winning
The few people on here may think it's a big deal but we are in the minority- and shrinking-

Yeah
Kobe dying caused the 2nd half collapse
Unbelievable
#15
We squeak out a win against an awful team
Halftime adjustments or lack of
#16
So much doom and gloom
Every team in the country has bad shooting nights
Ours was last night
We will beat Evansville handily then travel to Bradley for a tough road game
Hopefully we hit a few more there-
Going to take the short drive down from Naperville to see it
Should be a good one

How can anyone argue with these facts?
Hard to want to go to a game when we don't bring in exciting games
My wife and I went to the Loyola game figuring it's the only one that will have some excitement
It's unfortunate
We really enjoyed going in the past... although with a 2 year old it's tough as well as driving over from Naperville

Are we getting smarter /strategic about scheduling a team on HC that we can beat up on?....hopefully

Valpo Football / Re: Fox's promotion to head coach

The university is satisfied with football so long as the staff continues to bring in 100 male athletes who pay to come to school
Like it or not -many of the sports teams are just an extension of enrollment.

Would they prefer football perform better? I'm sure they would
But our other sports are struggling as well-cross country,track,swimming...all bring the University revenue in terms of non scholarship athletics-or very little.

Situations like this are typical. And Valpo needs fresh ideas.
The most constant thing in life is change.

Very well said
Less concern is needed about the faith and religion aspect of the University and more attention to the financial well being moving forward

It's an exhibition game and Lottich acted like it was a conference tourney final
A bit overboard???
Showmanship.....

Isn't it obvious we don't belong in this conference?
We don't have the resources or support from the administration and we certainly don't have the facilities
I yearn for the Horizon League days

He said the right things, but anyone can talk...

Interesting to read about football and Women's Basketball
Both he said are going in the right direction

Hard not to when in the women's basketball case they are coming off one of the worst coaches we have had in any sport
As for football the same can be said for Dave C following Carlson

Point is anything would be better than what we had

Thanks for this

Dudes have not seen the floor and you call them our best players?
Get a grip man
Freeman was our best player
Golder at one point was up there also
