I'm no tech expert but wouldn't simply having iCloud transfer all his contacts, texts, etc to his new phone? Assuming he had an iPhone.

We need to switch to a black/gold or yellow/black and do away with the 1970s colors. The merchandise would look so much better and would be appealing to the younger crowds. We need more modern looking merchandise.

I only check this forum daily now to see when Lottich will be let go. It is unbelievable that nothing has been done yet

Is the university really in that bad of financial shape? I mean I've read it on the board, but if the school is squabbling over 300-400k to buyout a basketball coach, then the entire university has to be in very deep trouble financially. Don't get me wrong 300-400k is a lot but to a university it shouldn't make or break it. If they can't afford to do that, then I won't be surprised if the whole place is closed within 5 years. Between the law school debacle, ridiculous mascot/name change, basketball in the dumps, they aren't really doing much to change the course.

What about Gregg Marshall? He's familiar with the valley. This program needs a jolt of energy

Lottich has a large part in creating this situation. He has ran the schools flagship program to a state where hardly anyone cares about it anymore. The fact that he even remotely has a chance to be the head coach next year is absurd.

Has it been confirmed there's a buyout in Lottichs contract? One would hope there isn't and that the university was smart about the contract. A lot of people on this board wanted Lottich gone when they somehow decided to give him an extension. I hope they made an easy out clause in the contract for the university if it kept going poorly.

Given how the mascot selection, change from crusader to beacons, and keeping Lottich long past time has all gone, I'd be willing to bet this message board could collectively make better decisions

I respectfully disagree on waiting until the end of the season. It needs to be looked at from a business perspective, and if you're CEO of a company, you don't let an underperforming employee who is doing irreparable harm to the company and it's product stick around, you handle the situation and remedy it immediately. You wouldn't let the employee stick around to keep damaging the company and product, especially one of its most important and well-known products. That's exactly what has been going on with the basketball team for several years now.

Should've been fired years ago. Now we've become a complete joke and fallen into a dark abyss. The administration is to blame too for allowing this to continue so long

I had forgotten that they took Beacon and stretched it into two dogs. If you were trying to run a business in the ground, it seems that you'd be following the steps they've been sadly doing

The basketball team's poor performance is just the start. Changing the mascot name to Beacon was another failure with a complete joke of a logo. The least they could've done was change the colors from brown and yellow to something more attractive while they were unnecessarily changing everything else. It's 2022, not 1980. In this day of marketing, the brown and yellow  is atrocious and can't be good for business. 

How do you know the terms of Lottichs contract and what is the buy out? His contract was extended when it should've never been extended in the first place. I'd hope the university made it favorable to them at that point but maybe not.

Lottich needs to have been fired years ago like many of us on this board suggested. This is utterly ridiculous

Lottich should have been let go several years ago when the writing was on the wall. He has run the program into the ground. I just checked the ESPN app and couldn't believe my eyes that we lost to chicago state

This is like watching the same movie over and over.

We are long overdue for a breath of fresh air and a change

Hopefully Lottich isn't around to convince anyone to stick around. We need a change ASAP, and needed it like 1-2 years ago
