So, is there a time for this announcement?

Oren on USH: "Goodnews on Instagram yesterday," 'What number should I wear in college next year, 0 or 00?'"  Love it!

Also, that spot did not take long to fill!  Less than a week!

Well...looks like the transition and dunk game will not suffer much with JFL's departure.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=64&v=YvxJjZ1frVk&feature=emb_logo

Welcome Goodnews!

*sigh*  It sucks...no question about it.  I'm not going to be bitter or wish ill of the young man (not that it even matters what I feel). I hope he finds what he is looking for.  If the rest of the group stays together, I do feel like all is not lost, but it's undeniable that at least a few W's last season were on the back of JFL taking over games.  Hopefully, the end of the year cohesion with everyone else is what shines through next year.

Still early (knocking on wood, crossing fingers, praying, holding breath, etc)  but I would classify having an offseason with 0 or 1 transfer as an even more impressive feat for this coaching staff than the above .500 finish to the season.  That is a QUICK cultural turnaround no matter what business or industry you're in.

A little late to the posting party, but I echo the admiration for the fight this team put on and the run they made.  Felt helpless watching the wheels fall off and that really stings a lot.

Whatever the team wants to do has my support postseason-wise.  2011 CBI was fun, but it had some bigger names in it.  My last Valpo game was the Iona CIT debacle which STILL leaves a bad taste.  I can see everyone's pros and cons.  I think it just depends on if the team wants to keep playing or not as to whether it's valuable.  If a Valpo team gets over the first game curse in the CIT, then watch out! A run would be fun. Disinterested, half-hearted play would not.

They've been preparing for this moment all season.  I could cry from the amount of payoff from the season's frustrations that reversed tonight!

Reporters tweeting that JFL has mono, perhaps has been playing with it?  Jeez, sound familiar?  If they play like this without him, it'll be okay...but Valpo won their first game without Peters too that year.  They did look like a well-oiled machine tonight. Todd reported during the game that  JFL would likely miss Saturday, but be back for the Tournament...so let's hope for that.

Well that was awesome.

I think I yelled at my computer more tonight than other nights for the 1st 30 minutes. I was really afraid that they might squander this 3 point shooting performance when Bradley wasn't missing.  Defense woke up for long enough though.  Hey, great W against a hot team.  I'll look forward to rewatching at a later time when I can enjoy it more.  Glad to know the streaky shooting can get as hot as it does cold.

Dude, get into the 20th century.  Either cast it to you old tv or spring for ESPN+ for $5 a month and watch it on your 60"!  ;) ;)

I am not superstitious...but I am a littlestitious.  Valpo does infinitely better when they are not on my tv and are on the computer instead.  Also...sleeping baby so headphones (and "yelling" is more disgruntled noises and violently shaking the chromebook/throwing hands up in the air.)

An incredible comeback.  Impressive fight without the guys who were largely responsible for the comeback.  I don't blame anyone, each team has "would of, could of" plays at the end of the day.  Taking a step back, Valpo has shown us over the last 4 games that they are highly competitive in the MVC.  Single possession games are games of inches, you win some and lose some.  If all you wanted to do was win, Valpo should've stayed in the Horizon or better yet, the MidCon/Summit.  The reality is, we're here...and though there seem to be embarrassing portions of every game (which is obviously infuriating) there are highly impressive portions that are making these games close.  This is apparently a team of momentum, when they're good, they're really good...and the opposite.  At the end of 40 minutes it seems to average out.

I know and agree that they need to stop digging holes, every person in the organization, coaches and players included agree with you too.  Losing sucks. Losing after an amazing comeback sucks.  Losing such a big game in the standings sucks.  We are, however, still playing meaningful games down the stretch...none of which I believe are automatic L's.    I personally am noticing progress.

Important win.  Now you are done with the top 3 in the league until the tourney.  Make these last 5 count in the standings.  The aftermath of Kiser's injury did not look good.  Maybe they'll win out for Kiser???  Here's hoping.

I miss the days when Valpo basketball was fun to watch and put me in a great mood, not a pissed off/stressed mood.

Frankly, I don't know if this was ever the case.  I've been scaring the dog (actually 2 dogs now) into the other room for years because of Valpo Basketball.  Yes, even the Bryce years.

ALL YOU NEED IS A  PULSE FROM 3!!!  Christ, that is so frustrating to watch.  Do you all really think that the coaching strategy is to miss at the rim and miss open 3's!?!

Hard to believe Loyola and Ill St. looked even worse on the scoreboard tonight.  I just want to be pleasantly surprised one time by this team.  Pattern continues in the most aggravating manner.

All patterns hold true again tonight.  Sure is going to be nice to beat Loyola at Gentile!  ;)

I could literally copy and paste any post after a loss this year to express my feelings.  I will say that it's hard to come back when simply looking at the opponent results in a foul.

Really though, there was not a scenario in my head where Valpo wins this one.  Now pressure is on to win on Saturday. Do that.

Not able to watch or check-in live.  Read through Paul's twitter feed.  Sounds like JFL is playing through injury, which may explain some of his poor shooting the last couple of games.  I also think that the Kobe news made this a very surreal game for many of our players.  I know that none of them knew the man, but at least for Zion and JFL, Bryant was the main NBA star they looked up to.  Grief can manifest in many different ways (great play as inspiration/poor play due to lack of focus), makes me feel fortunate to get a W when everything washes out.  Phew...now try to get a road W!

Pretty much a must-win in the large scheme of things.  You've got to beat the 10th place team at home.  Also important to avoid the spiral that has occurred around this time over the last couple of years.  There are some tough games ahead, so you need to hold serve (tomorrow and against Ill St. coming up especially).

I mean...good on the team for fighting(again, WHY DO YOU NEED TO BE DOWN SO OFTEN!?!?!)...I daresay that JFL was making things worse by pressing down the stretch, not good.  Gotta rebound at home against Evansville.  Was there ever an explanation for the Tech on Ryan?  That was a killer series of calls.

Sigh... We're a Thursday team again aren't we?
Maybe...maybe not.  Depends on which Valpo team shows up more down the stretch.  I expect up and down to a 9-9 record...wherever that gets you.  They definitely have it in them to be better...

Perhaps the worst shooting performance I've seen from a Valpo team.  Many open shots at the beginning...forced and not confident looks at the end.  Wasted the "good" shooting night at UNI.  Seems like Valpo has been abysmal when on TV the last couple of years.

This was an all hands win.  Next man up all the way to the end of the bench!  Great job team!  Love the swag to play to the crowd at the end.  Keep em coming back!
