Valpo Football / qbs and defense
May 02, 2017, 11:26:02 AM
I did here some good things on the 2 QBs, Duncan is  by far the most mobile , he can run and scribble out of pressure it seems that is very positive moving forward since the OL is still not great, and Papenfuss did well also, has a big arm.  In this league you need a mobile QB to win games not a drop back... But the Defense looked great I heard, which will help out the offence moving forward... I am glad coaches red shirted the 2 other QBs...

I don't care one bit about Chris Duncan - it may seem like it ,  or others we need to get some mobile QBs is there that is the wave of the future...

did u see DC interview, today. it looks like Both QBs- Clark and Seewald have something going on ... lets see if Stokes or if they move up another QB up  for this game.. You are correct about the QBs that the other Freshman will not hold out much, and they have a few good ones, I think the kid from Cali had almost 3 stars, but did notice he brought that kid to FL... So we don't know what is up DC sleeve

Ok looking at the freshman via maxprep and hudl , Duncan( football-Track), Seewald(football-bball), Mullen -(Football)who was at a D2 or D3 school before coming to Valpo and Papenfuss . (football-Lacrosse) Looked up the states on these guys senior year and who stands out.   Duncan's -Public School -film he had to play on one of the most worse field I have every seen.  This kid was fast on film and hard to catch for a tall kid, you cant teach speed and maxprep has his stats. Seewald played at a private school, not much on stats for his senior year. film ok but big arm and not much on maxprep. Mullen-Private School don't know much but looking at maxprep stats not bad. Papenfuss- Private School. (  , film good, not much on maxprep I don't know if he played a lot. can not tell. I was just a bit curious about the freshman QBs..

SD has a lot of JC and transfer Kids, which means more mature players.  They will come with a lot of heat on the Qbs, which they have to run fast to get out of pressure. On what I have seen of Clark and Seewald they are only pocket passers and not that mobile.  I wonder if they will put in Stokes. I hope it is not a blow out.

I see your QB list and did any of these QBs run Track , and who has the best skill set as the QBs? did any of the Qbs that Valpo have any Stars coming out of HS... I think some played bball, lacrosse.  Have you guys been to any of the practices and seen the QBs run if so who would you say that stands out?

They have the West Cost Kid that had big numbers in High School  that comes from a school with 6 NFL rookies this year.  and he can run looking at his tape a few months ago.

After watching the game from this past Sat, the QBs  that played are not athletic at all,no speed, I mean I can run faster then these guys. No offensive scoring what so ever, its like they where playing in Denver the mile high city. I  hope it is not a blow out. For Nunes , he is such a great kid  and sorry to hear him go down so early in the season.
