Two points...

1 - I think this was obvious when he did not travel to the NIT game against Miami (FL).  Of course no information was given as to why he did not travel to that game. 
2 - Whenever VU gets a public school person near Chicago I always expect him to transfer before he graduates.  So I did not expect Jay to stay (rhyme).

You are close to having the first half score.  We have worst AD in country.  Game should never be scheduled and there really is no vision to get out of where we are with football.  No scholarship is kill you and provide no alternatives.  Even what the coach says makes no sense when talking recruiting strategy.

I've been through this so many times I won't bother again....but football is the largest moneymaker in sports at Valparaiso University.  It does not cost the university money, it brings in revenue.  100-120 kids paying to play, plus whatever gate receipts and concessions.  And don't say it doesn't count, most of those kids would not be here if it were not for football.....My last time commenting on this....and jj or shortputt, or whatever his name is can jump in the ocean as far as I'm concerned.

I would like to venture that I believe Izzo owes us a future 2 for 1 with us getting the 2. Thoughts?

Valpo has a better chance of getting a home-and-home with Notre Dame Football than a 2-1 (with 2 in the ARC) with MSU.

Wood is now top of the VU-spite list that includes:  Diebler's brother, Scott Martin, Robbie Hummell, Kenny George, and Bryan Bouchie.  

I admire all of the "good luck" comments but pretty crappy that he is leaving the girl that got him to the prom.  Big black eye on program that clearly stamps us as "not big time" or "able to help folks get to next level".

Broader question is about the value Bryce Drew is brining (or not bringing) to the program as an ex-NBA player.  This needs to be considered by ML - and likely will not.

This site is great and I applaud you for having this public forum for feedback...it is not VU's style (see Alumni magazine letter's to the editor section for example - there is none).

Your first issue is to address the mascot debacle.  The costume and execution is horrible and brands the university very poorly.  Can you please post update on this?
