2016 Softball??

So the Horizon League schedule has started and we were swept by YSU.  We now are 3-20 on the year and 0-3 in the conference.  This team appears to have experience as I believe we only have one freshman but eight juniors and seniors on the team.  Second year for the head coach.  It could be a long season at this rate and a very big fall from the days a few years ago where we won games in the ncaa tournament.

It's all due to pitching.  Taylor has been better over the last few games, but she isn't the same as her FR year.  I harp on that aspect, but our pitchers are giving up hits all over the place.

I have a feeling the rebuilding curve is gonna be a bit longer than we'd like for this team. As I understand it the past coach left a pretty difficult situation for our new coach to deal with that makes me think being so upperclassmen heavy may actually be a detriment.

Two solid wins at home against Bowling Green today.  Well-pitched as we win 4-3 and 6-0.  Hopefully a sign that we are righting the ship!

Swept two more from NKU, with both being shutouts!!  It looks like our pitching has decided to show up, which is a very good sign.  We are now 7-20 (2-3).
