My recollection is that they are announced prior to Homecoming and of course awarded during Homecoming at Worship Sunday morning.

Each fall during Homecoming and Reunion Weekend, the Valparaiso University Alumni Association recognizes alumni who have made notable contributions to society and the University. Alumni enrolled at or employed by the University and voting members of the University's Board of Directors and the Association's Board of Directors are not eligible.

A '77 jock who lined up against AD ML in High School in the Buffalo area...Congrats to Tim Duerr for Alumni Achievement Award....

and, most important to this audience... Congratulations to Todd Ickow !! Honorary Alumni Award (joint with retired Dean on Nursing, Janet Brown)...

Todd has probably spent more time on campus than most alumni (when they were students and after). Regardless, he is very deserving of the award.
