valpo 64 and crusader05 - excellent posts, though I should point out that Vashil's last season at Valpo was 2015-2016, so that is much more recent. Furthermore, remember the great player-student interaction following the Rhode Island game in 2016-2017. The environment that everyone wants again existed quite recently. I have railed against the non conference schedule as that is one of the (far and away) two greatest factors that drives attendance - but the top factor is perceived quality of the team (valpo64 really hits the nail on the head). In fact, if Valpo is 'in the hunt' for the MVC championship come February, I would bet that the ARC will be close to full for key home games down the stretch. The good news is that gaining interest in today's high information world can be much faster.
