FYI,  some background........

LI (NY) LHS at one point in the 70s was the eastern version of La Lumiere and Donn Bosco. They were sending 3 of 5 starters to D-I places like Chapel Hill.  They traveled all over the east coast for competitive games against schools like DeMatha in the DC area.

Seems like they are still a major factor in eastern HS basketball and recruit heavily in the NYC area for players. The NIBC* Varsity boys 2022-23 schedule showed 6 home games, 5 away games and 14 neutral site games. They also  have Regional Varsity (play locally), JV, and Middle School teams.

Do not let the name "Lutheran" fool you.  LIL is a very expensive private school.  It is not like any other Lutheran high school in the Country.  I believe that a number of years ago it made the cover of the old Parade Magazine that was a part of Sunday newspapers.

Yup, high profile. A search showed that tuition-only costs are just under $20K.  For comparison, exclusive New England prep schools are in the $45-$50K range (plus room and board if it applies).
