When using the reply or quote box I noticed that while typing in a response the text I type does not always show in the box because the bar on the right seems to center itself after each key stroke. The text is showing up but only after I move the bar down to where the text is that I just typed.

Hmm... I can't seem to replicate this problem.  Does it happen in the "quick reply" or just a normal reply?

No, I just noticed it didn't happen in this reply. It must happen for the quoting of longer posts. So everybody I quote must keep it short.  :)

I think I see what you are saying.  When you hit "quote" it doesn't take you to the bottom of the quote in the quick reply box.  You have to wait for the quote to load in there and then scroll down.
