Valpo's Golden Years: 1950-1959

I just received a copy of "The Honor Roll of Donors - 2011-12" from Valpo. The gift giving is impressive (both my wife and I contribute by class). For the 2011-12 year the "Golden Oldies of the 50's" contributed over $10,000,000 to Valpo. Wow! Also, during the 50's we had a winning football teams. Can any other decade beat that?

My point is that those of you that attended Valpo during the 60's,70's,80's,90's and beyond need to get on the stick. You won't match the 50's in football wins,but you can surely beat us in annual monetary contributions to Valpo. Go for it!

By the time that I am into my 50s/60s/etc as well, it will be much easier to contribute more than I currently do.  It does not surprise me that those that graduated in the 50s contribute a good amount over those of us that graduated in the early 2000s...
