Wow! Interesting. Canada is a country we haven't pursued previously.

Here is a comment from one website:

Max Joseph- There isn't a point guard in this class that is more physically ready for the next level than Max. Built like a bull, this NPH showcase alumni could power his way up with a good, productive season.

From another:

Max Joseph is a 6'0, freshman combo guard currently playing for his Montreal based club team, the PX Knights. Quick and shifty, Max uses both hands effectively to attack the rim, often times using his bulky frame and good body control to absorb the contact on his way to a crafty finish at the basket. When not penetrating, Max has shown the ability to hit a pull up midrange jumper effectively; however he will need to develop his outside shooting quickly to expand his offensive package. Although still growing at a young age, his future position will most probably be the point, for which he will need to improve his ball handling skills and passing abilities off of penetration. He will also need to significantly increase his free throw percentage, especially as a penetrating guard.
On the defensive end, Max has caused opposing teams troubles all year long, using his quick hands and great anticipation to jump the passing lanes and pick off passes at an impressive rate of 4.4 steals per game. His commitment and willingness to play tough both on offense and on defence have earned Max the reputation of one of the best all-round players in Quebec for his age, which was clearly displayed in a mid season meeting with Montreal rivals DJ Sports, as he led his team to victory with an imposing 23 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals effort. If he keeps up the hard work at both ends of the floor, Max Joseph undoubtedly has the potential to be one of the provinces most complete players for years to come.

Kinda sounds a bit like Erik Buggs. Great defender, poor shooter, and able to get to the rim. First commit of the 14 freshman class. Hopefully he'll is the tip of the ice berg to another stellar incoming freshman class. Good luck Mr. Joseph in your senior season (or what ever Canadians call their final year of high school) and we look forward to see you playing in the brown & gold in another years time!

Sounds familiar....

Keep in mind... That article was written in 2009. Hopefully his shooting has improved in 4 years.

So ix-nay on the ocke-Lay and CJ Rivers, huh?  I'd bet there is only room for one PG in this class.

Here's how we look:

The board seems to be in agreement that this year's additions are a high quality group: Lexus Williams, Jubril Adekoya, Clay Yeo, Nick Davidson, Alec Peters, Keith Carter, and David Chadwick. We can now start evaluating next year's additions and looking for complements to the 2013 class. So far, we have Max Joseph and E. Victor Nickerson and three empty spots (Vashil remains on the roster as well). Assuming the point guard position is filled with Joseph, the possibilities thus far for the three spaces left are the following: Jevon Carter, Darreon Reddick, Mack Mercer, Tai Odiase. Of course, a good 7-footer for center would always be welcome!
