Rowdy finally getting call from the coach during the last two games and making a statement he belongs in the NBA: 30 points in 42 minutes of playing time!

I look forward to meeting him after the 4/5 game, and hope that he has a few more of these before that game!

Bryce  1081 (118 rookie year)
John Janisch  734
Milt Schoon  616
Bob Dille    296
Ryan Broekhoff 115 (34 games)
Alec Peters  82 (20 games)
Don Bielke 14

Ryan solidly in 5th place and will now chase Bob Dille. With 3 more points, Rowdy will catch Bryce's rookie year 118 ?

And a third consecutive good game for Ryan: 29 minutes, 11 points, 3-5 from three point range. He is over 40% on the season from three point range.

I think he's going to stick and have a decent and long career folks. That's only good for us. Go Rowdy! Go Valpo!

We had our Valpo Club of DFW event at the Mavs game today, and though we lost, it was good to see Rowdy have another solid game.  After the game, he was kind enough to come visit with us for probably a good 25-30 minutes, even into the time that many of the arena lights were being turned off, and made everyone's day that attended.  I had thought that it would just be a simple meet and greet with a photo, and was just happy for that possibility, but he openly took the time to speak with each of us.  He is a fantastic guy all around, and a great representative of Valpo!

Ryan is a class guy and a great representative of Valpo.

Looking at his finished season, he certainly got more playing time towards the end of the season and, for the most part, took advantage of the opportunity. He ended up shooting 41% from three, which is likely to keep him on the Mavs' or another team's radar. Let's hope that he gets a good opportunity next year - its always good to see great things happen for great people.

Final Season stats and rankings of Valpo NBA players scoring:

Bryce  1081 (118 rookie year)
John Janisch  734
Milt Schoon  616
Bob Dille    296
Ryan Broekhoff 167 (42 games)
Alec Peters  82 (20 games)
Don Bielke 14

A second similar year will likely move him past Bob Dille.  He would need a greater role in 19-20 to pass Schoon and Janisch, but 8 ppg over 70 games would have him closing in on Bryce.

I see him back with the Mavs.  The coaches loved him, and he proved that he could play at that level over the last 2 months.  Anyone notice a former VU basketball player in the pic, outside of Rowdy?  There were actually 2 there that day, but the other one wasn't with our group.
