I updated my HL stats.  It looks like the cream of the conference is rising to the top.  POTY is going to be a fun race to watch unfold.

At this point of the season it would be virtually impossible to pick anybody other than Ryan as POY.  He is leading the league in scoring average AND rebounds per game.  McCallum is putting up probably first team numbers as he is 6th in scoring, 5th in assts and 8th in steals.  Our own Kevin has numbers worthy of first team consideration, but more likely second team, as he is 4th in scoring and 1st in FG%.

At this point I'd say the POY is Ryan and the other first teamers are: Alec Brown, Ben Avercamp, Kaylon Williams and either McCallum or Damien Eargle, with Eargle having the better stats at this point.  Final team standings will certainly have an effect on awards.
Season Results: CBI/CIT: 2008, 2011, 2014  NIT: 2003,2012, 2016(Championship Game) 2017   NCAA: 1962,1966,1967,1969,1973,1996,1997,1998 (Sweet Sixteen),1999, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2013 and 2015

Cleveland State has committed 359 fouls. Been fouled 232 times. Outscored at line 274-173 but they are 14-3 and #1 in the HL in scoring margin.

What kind of defense works better? Valpo's or CSU's?

I guess maybe we find out Sunday afternoon.  Up to this point it is quite obvious who's defensive style has worked better.

After an exciting weekend of games here are some updated stats.  http://sectionee.blogspot.com/2012/01/updated-hl-pps-and-other-stat-leaders.html

I'd say both Ryan and Kevin have to be in the running for POTY at this time along with guys like McCallum and Gibler and Brown.
