What do you think?  Have you tried it?

I have not, I just assumed it was for the kids to try and strum up interest in the Valpo athletic programs.  We all know how much more fun it is to go to a game in any sport when the students are there being rowdy for the home team.

They seem to be pitching at students, indeed, but also at fans and/or alumni.

Separate leaderboards for the two categories..  Chance to win a ball signed by the coach of your choice, some sort of a package deal for the Detroit home game, etc.

Wild guess, marketing this activity towards the students, but also marketing it to the alumnae and fan base to help with some donations of monetary or material possession variety.
