B-CU just barely surviving against UMES by a free throw with 2.1 seconds left in the game saved Valpo 1 RPI point. MD-E. Shore is 1-16 with their win coming over Delaware St, who is currently leading the MEAC.

Enough to bump us up 1 in the rpi!

Nebraska has a very strong chance to win tonight. The Gophers have returned to normalcy, and that gives the Huskers a good chance.

I had a feeling that Tim Miles would get the most of this Cornhuskers team before the season was over. He has the knowledge and coaching ability to win close games. The biggest problem is that his talent doesn't match the conference he is in. The Huskers just can't keep it close with the top level & middle levels of the Big Ten.

OK, well So Much for the 'huskers... Gophers up 80-62 with 2:03 to play...

looking to tomorrow... I'll start the bidding:

Wright State holds court, I'm guessing UDM with two technicals.
Valpo ices Penguins
Creighton Bearies Missourah State
Loyola does it to UWM
Kent tries to hold NIU to 3 points in a half
and the Lobos beat the 'boys in an offensive juggernaut... 47-44.

OK... start your arguing!

I would like to see it happen, but it could be a pretty tall task for WSU - even at home.  Right now we have 3 teams chasing us - WSU, Detroit and GB.  IF we beat YSU, whoever loses the WSU/Det game will be 3 games behind and pretty much eliminated from conf. championship competition.  That's good for us, regardless of who it is.

Who knows? Maybe after two awful 2nd halves the Panthers finally claw back for a win at the Gentile Center.

With that, skating off to the igloo to see the Penguins with a stop at Quaker Steak & Lube for per-game dinner.

Nope, Milwaukee has another bad 2nd half. Panthers were up by 1 at half and score 32 (after scoring 33 in the 1st half) in the 2nd half but allow the Ramblers to score 44. A better game by Milwaukee so Valpo will need to improve over their performance against YSU or we lose again.

SLU currently leads Butler, 31-19, with 1:41 left in the first half.

Its a shame butler left the horizon. They were a fun team to play. The stl game is fun to watch.

17 point win by the Billikens and the Saint Louis fans STORM THE COURT!

truth219

It was similar to watching our game last night...a comeback wasn't going to happen. Except slus gym had fans in it.

OK, I went 3-3 the other night with predictions... NIU beat Kent??? Really????  so... tonights are too easy, moving to Saturday:

Murray races past "pea
Dayton takes SLU down a peg... (hope not)
GB of 0fer in Chicago
Oakland in a cake walk
Western wins at the Jungle
E'Ville aces da'Bears
Beth Cooks up a win
Toledo proves the NIU win was a fluke
Ohio State is a battle with oakland to see which Nebraska team is worse!
Eastern M can't win south of the state line
GaSouthern holds home court advantage over the snakes
Nevada will not come out of the locker room for the second half due to embarrassment
I'm guessing UIC will win in the pavilion
and since nobody will be at the CSU-UTPA game, I won't bother with a guess... we'll never see who won!

It will be interesting to see if the Billikens come out flat after the big win over Butler. Dayton, I believe, can play just as well as Butler on any given day.

You ever notice that there is no major team nicknamed the Groundhogs?

The biggest influence on Valpo's RPI most likely would have been if Nebraska would have pulled out the win over Ohio State. The Huskers got it down to 5 at the end of the game on some very courageous play by Almeida and Gallegos but lost by 7 in Lincoln.
