Just received my Fall 2012 edition of VALPO Magazine in the mail.  It is focused on Valpo students and alumni who are involved in selfless service to others across the globe.  As the father of a VU Law School graduate and long time VU supporter, I am always glad to be reminded that more than offering quality academics (as important as that is), Valparaiso University builds character and teaches values based on the Biblical principle that says that to those who are given much, much is required.

It seems like every issue focuses on Service, which is one of the biggest principles that Valpo teaches. Doesn't matter if it comes from academics, extra-curriculars, or athletics, Service comes before Self.
