With only 9 teams, I see the Bracket on Horizonleague.com

Round 1, Tuesday March 5th

9_________   Winner to Round 2 at #1 seed site vs 5/8 winner

8_________   Winner to Round 2 at #1 seed site vs 4/9 winner

7_________   Winner to Round 2 at #1 seed site vs #3_______

So #3 gets one bye but does not get to host; #2 and #1 get the coveted double-bye.

Round 2 is Friday, March 8 at #1 seed
Semi Finals are Saturday March 9th at #1 seed

Championship is Tuesday March 12 at highest remaining seed.

When you think about it the #2 seed never got to host a game in the HL tournament either. Of course getting the coveted double bye over the #3 seed who had to play all the rounds was a much better deal than hosting a first round game.
