Good info history man. There can be wide swings in performance year to year in college baseball due to the addition and subtraction of pitching. Loss of pitching due to graduation, draft, and injury can really set a good team back if not adequately replaced.

Guys, I have no issues with posting things about RPI or any details like that. I intended for this to keep everyone updated on how the HL baseball teams are doing. I just need to update for this week, but have had some things come up that have taken time away from updating.

Looked at the latest ratings: They aren't in our bucket, but our PFL rivals look like this: Mercer 23, Campbell 39, Stetson 193. Noted that ~~Butler~~ the school down south was at 146.

What bothers me much more is that we rate so much lower than so many New England schools who have had snow on their fields up to last week.

I don't know the details about yesterday's loss to UIC, but hopefully we can get the next two games, and have a step up on Milwaukee for the top spot, otherwise we're the team that no one will want, as we're 9-1 in our last ten games.

Last update before the HL Tournament shows that we have some work to do to win games against Milwaukee and Illinois-Chicago. Hope we have the arms and the bats to get to the championship game. It has been a good season for the Crusaders, as they had to overcome a lot of question marks about weekend rotation, injuries to players from last season's lineup, and who might step up to show they earned their starting spot in the field or on the mound. Can't wait to see what happens this weekend. Congrats to these guys for overcoming a lot to finish in 3rd in the conference standings.

I hope you all enjoyed my keeping up on the scores and records of each team as the season progressed. It was fun to actually have some real interest in doing this, as we had a lot to pay attention to, after going to NCAAs last season. I'll see what is going on a year from now to see if I'll be able to keep this up, and if I just update the most current games, instead of the schedule listing to see any trends or streaks going on. (Unless many of you liked how I put this together?) Just looking at the time involved, and what I might have for work this time next year.

Run, we actually tied for second, but are given the 3 seed in the tournament because of head-to-head vs. UIC. In the McCafferty standings, we will split the points for second and third with UIC.

tx, yeah I knew we were tied for 2nd, but figured it was wiser to say 3rd, for tourney seeding sake. Getting into tourney mode is a little easier than getting people into unnecessary head-banging over true placement and what-not. All is good though, just need to put the pitching and bats together to win the trophy again!

Run--thanks much for doing this. I know you put a lot of time in it. I personally would get more out of it if you listed just the current week's results for every HL team with the updated conference standings. You could include both HL and non-conference games if you wanted. That way I could pick out who was hot or not right now and look at the standings to see what we have to do all in one place. It's a long post for me to figure all that out in your current format. Just my opinion, and again thanks for all the work...
