I assume some rich alum was finally so embarrassed by having to overlook the area between the field and the stands left for the track during the homecoming football game for the 2nd or 3rd time that they gave the money to complete the track.

Does this mean they're going to have to move the benches in soccer?  I've been rather enjoying having the players close at hand, listening to the coaches "discuss" things with the ref, etc.

Where do the football teams sit?

Is there a timeline for construction? Or should we expect a formal announcement soon?

That is very good news!  Maybe this will lead to more competitive T&F teams, and raise our standing in the Cup, possibly leading to an even better conference invite!

If this news is true, for Valpo track to be competitive and get some real recruits, there has to be some more scholarship money provided to the teams to get athletes who can run, throw, and jump to come to Northwest Indiana, or stay in town.
