Video shows Winston leaving store without paying

While the university system is making money hand-over-fist on college football, highly talented, unpaid student athletes they are exploiting like Heisman Trophy Jameis Winston are forced to steal food to keep from going to bed hungry.  I only wish Winston had redistributed wealth from the evil corporate giant Walmart instead of Publix; then again, they probably both have more money than they know what to do with.

Hopefully, the real perpetrators here - the university system and corporate America - will use this as a teachable moment and begin to serve the greater good over a select few born into privilege.

Uh...that is complete BS.  You say that he is starving, so he steals crab legs??  Give me a f'ing break.  If you are just stealing to feed yourself, you don't get crab legs.  This is ALL on Winston and his lack of character, and has nothing to do with the lack of athletic stipends for food.  You get away with rape, so you figure that you can get away with anything...

You cannot say that Winston got away with rape - if this were true, the case would have continued beyond the decision made in November 2013.

Winston is a head case however.  It is bizarre someone would shoplift crab legs.  He should have asked a friend of the program for assistance.

Um.  So much already wrong with this thread.

First, and correct me if I'm wrong, but wh is channeling Eddie Cabot and just being sarcastic.

Second of all, if that's so, tex, you just fell for it.

Finally, USC, it seems Winston did get away with at least sexual assault, thanks to the collusion of the local PD.  Have you read

I always thought that wh was liberal-leaning, so I figured that this was a true reflection of how he viewed it.  Maybe I confused him with someone else?

LAA, thanks for following up on my post in regards to the sexual assault.  USC, he got away with something that day, but the police just tried their best to sweep it under the rug.  Just because they didn't prosecute, doesn't mean it didn't happen.  If you read the article (the exact one I was referencing when I said that he got away with rape), you can see that she never stopped cooperating, but rather that local PD were so careless in how it was handled, that it was impossible to put together a case, as they never intended to in the first place.

...are we talking about the guy who said of unions,
QuoteI'm sure unions have a necessary place in society.  That said, they also pollute the minds of otherwise good people by feeding and breeding negativity, mistrust, divisiveness, class envy, self pity, cynicism, discord, mediocrity and laziness.
