Watched Oakland lose at the buzzer at home to Northeastern. They managed to score only 59 points. Lots of fairly open shots wouldn't fall, lots of forced shots as well.

As we all know, prior to this year Oakland's OOC schedules were selfishly stacked with unwinnable payday games against high majors, a tactic that clearly hurt conference RPI. To their credit, this year's schedule is much better balanced with winnable games against other mid's.  Suddenly, I'm feeling a whole lot more positive about the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. It's too bad they lost tonight, but overall they're off to a strong start and I'm happy for them.

Oakland is good but once again not as good as projected.  I'm of a fan kampe and had the pleasure of meeting him in Detroit for that $*%^ show of a conference tournament.  But that sweater was ridiculous last night.  Gave me the impression, "are they serious about the program or is this a stunt from the Will Ferrell's movie super-pro?"  What's next, kampe going to wrestle a grizzle at halftime? 

The Palombizio kid from Chesterton is a good player.  We missed that one....

Semi-Pro  , but yeah that was a pretty ridiculous stunt. 


We should've promised the chance to shot 10 threes a game like Kampe did...I've heard he isn't real happy with his playing time and role.  It maybe changing soon though if he keeps playing well and the rest of the team doesn't.

I guess it was a promotion or something for bad Christmas sweaters... only I didn't see a whole lot of people wearing hideous sweaters, only Kampe.  I could hardly stop laughing, I found myself imagining what the timeouts were like in the huddle.

I watched the replay of the last 1:17 of the game ... and he wasn't wearing that sweater... I'm guessing it had something to do with "let's take the game seriously".  Be fun to have the Grizz take down Sparty... if ever there was going to be a year for that to happen, its now.  BUT, the game is at the Breslin.
