Hayward signs with Celtics

A Butler guy who I think most of us respect just signed with Boston and Brad Stevens. He is set for life.

Hopefully in a couple of years AP wil be in the same position.

Apparently there were 5 1/2 hours of speculation that the announcement of Hayward to the Celtics was premature because the total deal hadn't been worked out and Hayward's agent was trying to keep some leverage over the Celtics.

Mark Bartelstein (Hayward's agent), tells ESPN: "Gordon hasn't made a decision yet. We are still working through it." 1:34 p.m. EDT 7/4/17

Then Gordon, himself, tweeted the decision at 7:48 p.m.

There was never a doubt in my mind that Hayward would end up in Boston. They might even change the Celtics to the Bulldogs (Brownsburg Bulldogs, Butler Bulldogs, Boston Bulldogs) you couldn't make this stuff up.   

Although Gordon will deny it, he was never going to put up with all that Jazz.
