I'll give it a try. Let's kick Evansville's butt in their own place. Dru Smith is injured so that may have an impact on the game. He really hurt us a few weeks ago.

73-69 winners

Based on absolutely no research or statistics I will say that Max Joseph will have himself a 15 point game and lead us to victory.

The Plane to Evansville is here.  Came in during the snow last night from Toledo after dropping off the Northern Illinois Basketball team.  Don't have a filed flight plan yet... they are in for a heavy snow storm tonight...they are right on the snow/sleet/freezing rain line on the weather map.  hopefully just enough to keep the ace-faithful at home...

what have they done in conference this year?  They are tied with Missouri State at 5-7

Worst-Non-Conference loss was @ New Mexico #160; Best-Non-Conference Win was at home over Canisius #128.  They have no 'bad' losses.

Did anyone see that there have been over 650 snow/ice-related auto accidents in Missouri since Sunday and that weather is heaed est.  I pray for a safe flight south for our boys.

Why aren't we drawing anywhere close to that well? Evansville has only fared slightly better than we have this year and we should have the excitement factor of MVC year one working for us. Very disappointing to be sure.

We need to play a hard 40 minutes.  Rebound, Rebound, Rebound.

Evansville destroyed us with their free throw shooting in our last matchup (29-31, 93.5%). Cannot give them that many opportunities or else they will light us up. I know the number of fouls refs have called in conference have varied, but Valpo has to do everything they can on defense to not give the refs easy calls to make. I know that is easier said than done, especially if we get a crew that loves to blow the whistle, but that is the best way for us to beat this team.

Offensively, we missed way too many layups and free throws in our game at SIU. We cannot be leaving easy points on the court like that, especially when we struggle to break 60 points on a nightly basis. That said, I think Valpo has finally woken up and will finally get their first road conference win tomorrow. With the way the season has gone, I know there really isn't any must win games at this point, but I personally don't see us beating Loyola or Drake on the road. I think this is their last good chance at winning on the road this conference season and they need that now to have something to build on in the offseason. #GoValpo

With that fancy, new arena in Evansville, those attendance figures don't impress me.  And I think they close off the upper part of the facility.

Well I would say that the Administration has clearly stepped it up relative to travel budgets.  Flying to Evansville?  Really glad to see that time away from the classroom is important.

With the Ice Storm they are predicting for that area in the next 24 hours... I'm glad they didn't drive all the way.

Life long UE fan here letting you guys know that the ice storm last night wasn't that bad. The roads down here are fairly clear, and that was at 7 o'clock this morning.

I won't post a lot on here. Might pop in on a game day and wish you guys luck.

E-Villan

Same here. Glad your guys made it down safely. I do find it interesting you flew here. Is that normal? I think we only fly to the Iowa games. I am not sure about Missouri State, I do know they bus here as I ran into their team at a local hotel a couple of years ago.

Unfortunately, with or without bad weather, the attendance will be mediocre at best. Martyball is wearing very thin around here.

Thanks ad.   Good to hear.    It's time for the Indiana schools to rise up.  Illinois has all four of the top MVC rungs.

You guys can start on Saturday, ok?

Good question.  We recently also flew to Southern Illinois and to Missouri State, not sure about other games.  Just an hour to Loyola.  According to Mapquest it is a five hour drive to Evansville and it could be we flew because it is a mid-week game and need to get the guys back in class asap.

Here is just another example of spending more money on the MBB program...another "step up"  from the HL to the MVC.

Coach said they're working on free throws in practice lol. That will make some people on this board happy  ;D

Also look at Coach's reaction when Todd brings up the officiating
