Helen Steinbrecher, beloved wife of retired AD Bill Steinbrecher passed away on Wednesday after a lengthy illness.   Here is the full obituary.  You'll appreciate the love for Valparaiso University this couple shares...

Thoughts and prayers to the Steinbrecher family.  They were truly good people and Helen was a really wonderful person.  Go rest high on that mountain!

In late August 1962, I walked into Wehrenberg Hall as a freshman and was greeted by Bill and Helen who were our dorm parents that year and they did that for a few years more. I worked for them as a soph RA the next year. Coach Steinbrecher was also one of my football coaches while I was there. Always liked him, and his wife was a great dorm mom. Best wishes to Bill and the rest of the family during this sad time.
