With the exception of Golder the rest of our incoming class ended up as projects so I guess it's not surprising that, with 2 centers and now the need to reinforce the Power forward Position faster than we though the time and energy just really might not have been there for either Marty or Parker to get the opportunity they wanted.

I'm going to be following Marty's career. I think he can become a pretty good player by his senior year. He needs to work on his footwork.

Not going to get any playing time next year now...

Not overly surprised by it, but its a shame to see him go. Hopefully a positive move for him. Really amplifies the need for a PF transfer.

Not surprised at all.  He really didn't have the quickness/skills to be effective at the 4 spot and was going to be buried behind Smits/Sorolla for two more years.  Wish him the best wherever he ends up.

Now he can sit a year and start playing about the same time he would've had he stayed.  I enjoyed watching his hustle on the court. Best of luck where he lands, hopefully he finds what he is looking for.

probably cause it seems weird that a dude who seemed to really be plucked out at the last second from abroad is now really eyeing playing time. I mean he was initially a prospective red shirt. Either the kid figures I've got four years and I just want to play vs slowly developing or his eyes are a little to big for his stomach in regards to his immediate upside?

I will miss Marty.  He will have a great impact at a low mid-major school by his JR/SR seasons.
