We're back again for another wonderful installment of the Valparaiso Over/Under prop bets.

Here's the deal. Email me (pgmado@gmail.com) with your picks on the following props by 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Feel free to post them here as well, but I'd prefer to have your name/email if you want to participate in the contest. Trying to track down the winner for last year was tough because I didn't know who it was. I'll post two updates throughout the year, one when conference play begins and one when Arch Madness begins. I'll then post the final standings and the winner will join me on Union Street Hoops for a victorious conversation.

Javon Freeman: 11.5 points per game Under (I have high hopes for his future but I'll take the under from the freshman. He still could make the all-freshman team. I think Valley teams won't allow him to get easy drives to the basket. The 3pt shot just isn't there yet)

Micah Bradford: 2:1 assist to turnover ratio Under (Coach Lottich will favor the future in terms of minutes. The writing will be on the wall by seasons end.)

Deion Lavender: 3.6 assists per game Under (I know coach said high assist to low TO guy but I'm not buying that. Coaches speak.)

Daniel Sackey: 18.5 games with more assists than turnovers Over (This one makes me think Paul heard, Sackey might be turning the ball over in practice. I got nervous hearing the Buggs comp. Buggs was one of my favorite players but there were some maddening moments with him on the court, due to his 3pt shooting and FT shooting, but also many exciting ones. I know he's a better shooter but he needs to be a LOT better then Buggs was.)

Bakari Evelyn: 39.5% 3PFG Under (A strong 3pt shooter but I'm going under)

Markus Golder: 50.0% FG Under (I think the league will adjust to him this season but he'll have a pretty good season. He'll have less easy drive to basket this season)

Jaume Sorolla: 5.5 rebounds per game Under (Injury will slow him down early on and the minutes split with Smits/Mileek will keep him under)

Derrik Smits: 25 blocks Under (under. He may have a big blocks games vs the lesser OOC competition)

Mileek McMillan: 20.5 3-pointers Over (I feel fairly confident about this one. If Mileek can play good defense and stay out of foul trouble, he'll get enough looks. He's a good 3pt shooter for a PF/C(?))

John Kiser: 1.2 offensive rebounds per game Under (He won't get enough minutes, but will still earn some minutes because Coach trusts him on defense. I really hope he worked on his 3pt shot this season. If he consistently can knock down open 3s he will be considerably more valuable to this team if his defenders have account for him on the court.)

Ryan Fazekas: 14.2 points per game Under (I think he has it in him but I'm going to say under. Maybe next season.)

Wins: 19.5 Under (I think we'll win 1 or 2 we are expected to lose, but we'll drop the ball against an opponent we "should" beat. I think we'll have 18 or 19 wins.)

Arch Madness wins: 1.5 Under (It sort of depends if we play on Thursday or not. If we play on Thursday we'll win that game and Friday's game will depend on who the opponent is and how we match up to their roster)

MVC Finish: 5.5 (Over means 1-5, Under means 6-10) Under (my heart says 5th but if I'm a betting man I'd say 6th place)

Postseason Victories: 0.5 Over (I think we play in the CBI or CIT this season and we'll make a deep run in one of those tournaments. No chance we pass up an invite from one of those tournaments this season.)

Conference win steak: 2.5 Over (We win 3 in a row sometime between: @Indiana St 1/23, Drake 1/26, Missouri St 1/29, @evansville 2/2.)

Conference loss streak: 2.5 Over (but I'm not feeling confident about this one, but I'm scarred from last season. The really tough 4 game stretch will be: Bradley 1/8, @SIU 1/12, @Loyola 1/15, UNI 1/19)

Attendance: 2,850 Under (sadly the home OOC schedule won't draw well this year. If this was next season I'd take the over. cough...Vandy...cough)

Freeman - under (hope I'm wrong, hard to bet on a freshman I've never seen before)

Bradford - under (he's in the doghouse and will need an injury to get pt)

Lavender - under (never seen him play)

Sackey - under (hard to bet on a freshman Point not turning it over)

Evelyn - over (should get some more open looks with the new help)

Golder- under (unless he's discovered his left hand teamswill figure him out)

Sorolla - under (wouldn't bet on either 7'er when it comes to rebounding)

Smits- over (had 21 last year, I think he'll find 5 more this year)

McMillian - over (if they give him the minutes he will be at the over by Christmas)

Kiser - under (show me the minutes)

Fazekas - over (someone has to score, I'm going with him)

Wins - under (got us at 9-9 or 10-8 in conference, not sure I can find that many more wins OOC)

Arch Madness - under (only chance at an over is if VU falls to the play in I'm afraid)

MVC Finish - under (6 or 7)

Postseason W - over (think Valpo picks up a win in one of the lower tourneys)
