2019 Women’s Soccer

Just to get things started here. VUWSO has started the season off with back-to-back 0-1 losses to old HL nemeses UWGB and Oakland this weekend. In the Oakland match they could only manage one (1) shot on goal.

They graduated all but one goal. It could be a really long season if they don't find find someone who can score.

On the bright side their opponents are getting few shots as well. But how long can the back line hold up over time?

Not having seen either game, it appears that we just had some bad luck. The last game for example, we out-shot them 10-5 and had 6 corners to their 1. Over the two games our shots on goal total 19 to our opponents 14.

Women's Soccer is without any scorers, so it is going to be a long season. This has been one of our better programs for 15-20 years, so we were bound to have a crappy season eventually. We had 0 shots against Bowling Green, until around 10 minutes left in the game.

Finished the pre conference season
0-9-1 with 3 goals scored. They may be headed for a winless season.

Volleyball isn't exactly off to a big start either, losing to Horizon League and WAC teams. Record is now 5-9 going into conference play. Could get ugly.

Volleyball has recovered at 8-12 (3-3), but Women's Soccer is in for a record season...in the negative way. I believe that we are now 0-12-1 (0-3-0).

No offense. 5 of the losses have been 1-0. 9 games without a goal. We are now in year 3 of the Valley. If we are suppose to be getting better, it is hard to see.

Volleyball phased out playing all 8 of their freshmen. They have won three in a row in straight sets.
