1-5 against D1 teams...that's bad.

What is forgotten here is that the 5 losses have all been on the road.  We were 4-11 on the road last year and 11-2 at home.  We are 1-0 against D1 this year--at home.

There is a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes that continue to make this a weird year.  We have barely had Mileek available--a starter last year who played 18 minutes a game and gave us 9 points and 3 boards which are missing this year.

Next we have Zion Morgan who has disappeared. Is he still on the team?  Like him or not, he is a fifth year senior. Next we have Emil.  No show so far. then we have Sheldon Edwards who was absent yesterday.  There goes 6 point  and 3 boards.  Did these guys test positive?

It is just a weird year. I'll hold judgement till we play Bradley for two games--at home.

Too busy yesterday to watch, so I just now caught the 1'st half. Credit to the broadcast crew as several of the pronunciations were accurate. 
Distance shooting aside, so far I am not seeing the things that have some of you on the verge of panic. I still think this can can be a pretty good team and very little of what we have seen in December or will see in January is going to matter. I am not sure how Matt will paste together a March competitor but we seem to have enough talent for him to do so.

My goal for Jan is to remain calm and look for the positives.  If by Feb you see me losing my temper then maybe you can join me in a stampede for the exits.

Too busy to watch.  Just saw the box and Clay had 17-13?    Krikke with solid stats too.   just no one else it seems.   Good to see two solidifying while we pan through the rest of the candidates.

Here is the problem and it isn't going away.  While Valpo's best player for the women was held to 3 points today. They had a point guard who stepped forward and scored 27 including 7 of 14 from the 3.

On the men's side we have had three buys playing the point. Daniel is 1 for 12 from the 3, Lorange is 1 of 13 and Helm is 0-4.  2 for 29 isn't going to win a lot of games. Fortunately we have two guys coming in next year who look like the real deal.  Let's hope someone can play the point who can make an occasional 3 to keep the defense honest.
