Cleveland State's board is alive and well

I think a lot of us used to joke about the fact that CSU had no fans. But if you take a look at their board now it is alive and active. Winning will do that although the Vikings weren't exactly losing when they had Norris Cole and J'Nathan Bullock.

I'm always happy to see other Horizon League teams being successful, just so long as that changes come game time against Valpo.

Cleveland State moves to 5-0 today after a nail biter against Boston University (0-4) with a final score of 63-62. They won on 1 and 1 free throws with seconds left.

And they just came back from a 4-pt deficit with 5 seconds to go against Boston University.

As a Cleveland State fan its exciting to see how the message board, and fan base, has been improving over the last couple years.  Hopefully a few more wins in Rhode Island will get the Vikings into the top 25!

Cleveland State lost to Hofstra today, 63-53.  Loyola did beat Fordham (we're doing OK against the A10!), but otherwise a grim day for the Horizon League.

Hofstra (3-3) trailed, 42-37, before Nwaukoni and McMillan made consecutive layups. McMillan was fouled on his attempt and made the subsequent free throw to tie the game, 42-42, with 12:30 to play.
The Pride then used a 15-4 run to take a 57-46 lead with 4:38 remaining. Cleveland State (5-1) pulled within seven, 57-50, but McMillan hit four free throws in the closing minutes to help Hofstra secure the victory.

Jeremy Montgomery had 12 points for Cleveland State, and D'Aundray Brown scored 10. The Vikings shot just 40 percent from the field, missing 15 of its 19 3-point attempts.

Hofstra shot 57.1 percent (12-of-21) from the field in the second half.

The Plain Dealer probably didn't want to pay to send a writer out to Rhode Island for 4 days.

Couldn't the reporter just call the coach or asst coach and get his view of the games. I don't ever remember the Times or Post Tribune ever just using the AP story for a Valpo road game. Can anyone ever remember them doing that?

Cleveland State had an easy time with Rhode Island tonight in Kinston, RI winning 67-45. Nice rebound from the loss to Hofstra.

Aaron Pogue had 20 points. Rhody was 0 for 8 from beyond the arc and committed 21 turnovers due to the Vikings' pressure defense.

When CSU went into this three game series at Rhode Island the fans were mostly worried about the last game against the host team. It turns out that they barely beat Boston U by one, Lost to Hofstra by 10 and then beat Rhody by 22.
