Valpo has won once at Drake and Drake has won 4 PFL games in a row.

I'm hoping to make the trip for the first time. Football plays on Saturday and soccer plays on Sunday. It makes sense.

Drake may be 1-3 but they have lost to South Dakota State and North Dakota who they weren't going to beat or be competitive against. They also lost by a FG to Northwestern College...the NAIA national champs from last year who beat Indiana Wesleyan to a pulp.

The fact that Drake beat MSU and held them to 9 after MSU put up 4 TDs vs. St. Thomas probably says much more about where they are in the PFL than any other result.

Without Valpo playing much better when they have the ball, this game may not be close in Drake's direction.

I'm not sure valpofb16 is far off from the score but it could be one of those games which is 16-3 but never a game that was close. We've all seen games such as that.

My overall point was that some were looking at a 1-3 record without looking at the rest of the story with Drake and equating that to a win which, and I hope I'm wrong, I don't have a lot of hope for.

Thoughts....

-Mikey Appel has not been great. But if I was his parents I'd be in the portal and not let my kid play another down for Symmes.

-Landon Fox will always coach a defense to have Valparaiso in a position to win against likewise talent.

- when game was on line Tezzo and Jimenez were subbed out for Yeats and Mackay. Just let the kids play.

-Davis is the only offensive player capable of breaking one and he's been more drops than not last two games.

-Defense gave up sub 300 yards and two touchdowns and it was a loss. Tough to do in modern football.
