Looking to January

Now to the topic at hand - January basketball. It's not looking too good right now, but there are enough parts in place to get it turned around. I am not sure what the problem is (my guess is a leader), but there's still time to do something about it. I just don't get the sense of team identity with this group.

It's worth noting however, that of the 8 D1 victories, only 3 of those had a winning record. The overall record of D1 for Valpo and their D1 wins is 55-67 (*NIU is 1-12).

Well, whatever the issues might have been, it appears they might have been fixed, or at the very least masked. So far so good!

And if the Crusaders lose the Wisconsin trip (which I don't think will happen since Green Bay lost Daniel Turner to an ACL tear which gives less options to Alec Brown at center. Phoenix lost to YSU by 30 on the road) they finish 5-3 for January. Most likely is 6-2 because Milwaukee is tough at home but also poor on the road. So I believe those who said 6 wins in January are the winners. Who knows what will actually happen.

Your immaturity may amuse the STLVU's of the world, but you won't be getting the laughs you crave from me or any of the other more respected posters (i.e. dmvalpo, sectionee, vu72, etc)...in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the three of them have already clicked the "iggy" button on you.

I really underestimated this team when I predicted four wins.  The excellent play at home against Cleveland State and the gutsy tough win at Milwaukee made the difference.  I was very glad to be wrong.
