The article written by Jim Bishop in today's (2/27) NYT is a MUST read for Scott Drew fans and supporters of college athletics.Could this be Valpo in a few more years? Hope so.

Here you go setshot. It's not really that hard to do. Highlight the web address in the window at the top. If you don't have an edit drop down menu then hold down the control (CTRL)button and then type "c" for copy. Then go to the posting window on the message board and put your cursor where you want it and hold down the CTRL key and type the "v" and that will paste it into your message.

This is definitely a good article. I remember seeing the newspapers in Valpo when they were speculating if Scott was going to leave already, and what would happen to Valpo basketball if Scott did leave. As we all can see, the basketball program has remained in blessed hands, and Scott blessed the program with vision and guidance. Let's hope that vision and guidance trickles down from Bryce to Coaches Freeman and Carlson, then further down to the non-revenue sports coaches to guide their programs in winning ways.

Is this the most positive thing that setshot has posted about VU basketball?

There is nothing more positive than having a championship season. I'll take back my early on remarks in reference to Bryce's appointment to being the new coach. I believe I called him coach Nep O'Tism. Sorry! It's now coach Bryce Drew! By the way,my wife and I were on a cruise (2/15-2/26) celebrating our 55th. wedding anniversary while the Loyola and Butler games were being played. Could't get the games on the ship's tv,but did get the scores the next day. WOW! Looking forward to viewing the next two games. Go Valpo!

I agree, nothing better than a championship season.  I also like your positive outlook

Definitely interesting reading.  I was a little surprised by the story of Scott's interview.  I didn't realize he sought the job quite so aggressively - I sort of imagined Baylor thinking, "Where can we find somebody squeaky clean who might take the job... hmm.. a Drew!"  It sounds like it went, at minimum, both ways.

Congrats on the 55th anniversary, Setshot.

Nothing like an anniversary cruise with required pharmacy enhancers to get the old blood pumping for Valpo and changing that disgusting "nepotistic" frown upside down.  ;)

Wow, jj's recanting his position on Bryce and the hiring process that was involved?  Did I read that right?
In case anyone was wondering, that crackling noise coming from underneath your feet is the sound of hell freezing over.

This thread may be conclusive proof that the world will end in December of this year.
