Delisanti finished off the tournament at -15 and won by a stroke. Very impressive weekend for him. For all the ups and downs of Valpo athletics this school year, the last thing of 2023-24 in VU sports is a tap-in for him to win a national-level championship. Pretty special.
Another great accomplishment for Delisanti!
Do you think the NCAA might have made a mistake not selecting him for individual qualification in the NCAA tournament?
@vu84v2 Possibly, although I think they base it on the Clippd computer rankings, where Delisanti was ranked #364, below the at-large individuals. Like any computer rankings the power conference bias can be debated, but hopefully he can make his senior year his best one.
Two generational talents in Anthony and Caleb. Problem is, no depth. There is a significant drop off when our #1 is the medalist and the team finishes 2nd last.
Anthony Delisanti played in the US Amateur this week. Shot 70 in the first round, but missed the cut with a 78 in the second round.
Caleb finished tied 2nd at the Bobcat North Dakota Open. The Dakota tour is winding down and it looks like Caleb will finish top 10 for the season. He won $7000 in the Bobcat ND Open.
Anthony may be on his way to be declared "The Goat" after starting the season by beating 92 guys and winning the Ram Masters Invitational in Colorado. Congrats to him!
Six competitive rounds this year for Anthony - all under par. Very impressive.
With the win at the Ram Invitational, Anthony is now ranked #119 in the world. No doubt that is the highest any Valpo player has reached.
Why cant the men's golf coach help the women? They have not came close to winning an event in years -so terrible ,yet nothing changes
These minor sports are where we need to try to garner some wins
