As most of us know by now, Bradley and Drake won their MTEs. Going foreword, it seems the Charleston Classic and the Myrtle Beach Invite are going to a 2 bracket system to appease the enraged High Majors. 1 bracket for mid majors, 1 bracket for high majors. This is in completely due to the fact that these high major programs are now possibly doomed from a march madness bearth as these wins for Bradley and Drake are going to turn into Q2+ losses for these programs. First, we lost the home and home against high majors to the NET. Now, The NET system continues to ravage the sport with analytics and data by taking the MTEs.
I look forward to the days that the high majors go too far, and they end up with antitrust issues. I know that the new administration is going to deregulate, but college sports definitely needs more regulation, otherwise the most financially successful 80 programs will always just get their way. It will then lead to more school closures, and a less educated population.
