The comeback and final shot were nice but Valpo should have won this game and fairly handily. It's actually concerning how it played out and likely doesn't bode well for conference play.

I can understand this argument, but Western M was a team with an axe to grind. Teams like that typically make a game out of a matchup that would otherwise prove to be not too competitive. The team fell fast, and they didnt give up. Lots of positives among the negatives.

The comeback will help their confidence in future games they are down, a sense they can do it again. But yes, they need to fix their perimeter defense especially with no rim protector on the team. Teams are studying film on ball screens and intentionally getting Seep in ball screens, he's to slow to keep in front of the quicker guards. Schmidt, McNair, Darius, Monegro are all smaller guards. Who's are best on ball defender?

Darius but he's small and that hurts him vs a guard with any size.

Valpo's comeback was also featured on Scott Van Pelt's Bad Beats segment during last night's Sportscenter. Interestingly, he used the phrase "Beacon of Hope" in the long serieds of highlights in the comeback.
