HOpefully more people in the forum translates to more butts in seats. I think if the performance improves, you could probably get the lower deck filled out
@Rez And in addition to winning more games, swapping out sections A-E to chairbacks might boost attendance as well. Who among us 65+ year-old fans want to sit our boney butts on hard wood bleachers for two hours without back support for our arthritic spines when the product is still in development?
VU, underestimate the value of comfortable seating at your peril. 😂.
And now, an idea along those lines that could be both an attendance amenity and a revenue generator without a huge $$$ investment.
I worked for five years at Lambeau Field, with its majority of bench seating. On game days cushioned chairback appliances were rented to fans (we are talking 40,000+ of them). It was only a couple of bucks (but now ~$8) . You pay at the chairback kiosk. Take your chairback to your reserved seat. Slip it onto the bench. At the end of the game you just walk away - staff or volunteers collect them after the game. It is totally convenient. The initial cost is considerably smaller in comparison to the cost of replacing the current bleachers and the cushion is very comfortable (compared to hard wood). A bonus is that the width of the appliance guarantees your seat space.
I understand the KVW comparisons, but they are very different players on the offensive side of the game. KVW would look to seal his guy off in the low post and bang down low, with rare visits to the arc for ball distribution. Sepp is a distribution guy that can bang down low if he wanted to, but his role is more setting up his teammates and getting in position for rebounds or tip outs. KVW was a master at those low post seals, and our guys were very good at lofting it just enough for him to catch and immediately go up for an easy 2.
@valpotx KVW was amazing inside of 10’. Can’t recall how many times I’d say to myself: “Huh? How the heck did he just score in that crowd?”

His footwork was really good. Not at the same level but Drew Timme-ish. Sepp doesn't have those moves...possibly yet.
