LOL, one of their posters mentions that this was the best home crowd for Valpo since Bryce Drew.  I hope he means since Bryce was coaching and not playing, as we were routinely in the 3,000-4,000+/game attendance from 1994-2017ish.

But the question remains.  Besides us two three where is anyone?

I am at the game. Is guess we pushed half capacity. With the students and revs kids. Considera le amount of the mez had butts in seats. Despite not being back at school. There was a student section. They were a presence towards the end.

Great win!

Who were the announcers today, and why not the home team with Ickow?

Very nice crowd on hand, I’m guessing over 2,600.

Today we had the better guard play than UNI. Schmidt & Monegro played great and under control, and Darius & Wright played well with timely shots and free throws and zero turnovers. Cooper didn’t dominate offensively and we still won comfortably. Panthers are defensive team and they gave up 43 in the first half.

Jacobson tried to slow our rhythm down with the zone, trapping and Anderson drawing fouls almost every time down. The last 5 minutes slowed to a crawl but we held serve and came out on top. We are serving notice to the league this year. We are seeing the improvement right in front of our eyes! Indiana State very winnable Wednesday. Do we see over 2,000 again?

Watched the game online but had Todd and Paul on in the background.

What a great win. Nice to watch a solid basketball team after the past few years. The crowd looked good too. Things are looking up.

People tend to forget that 2k can quickly turn into 10k in that gym. If the ARC is good at one thing. It's keeping the noise on the court.

Good win at home.  Glass continues to be more than half full.

Attendance: 1917 (perhaps just paid only?)

FT%:  87.5%. The spirit of Virgil Sweet is looking over us. As of today, we are #10 in the country. Next MVC team: ISUb at #41.  It is clear that if we are ahead in the last two minutes any opponent is in a “pick your poison” situation when they foul.

Good win. Like seeing that the team is getting more connected on defense.

Looked like ARC was about half full.

Yeah I don't think 1900 is a right number. Also apparently after the FT shooting of last year. They borrowed the tapes of Virgil from the HS archives.

The student section was primarily made up of Valpo Swim Team and Rev’s Corner Kids from Gary. The 1900+ seems about right. My chairback section was still mostly empty. Campus dorms don’t open back up until January 11th, so likely small student contingent again on Wednesday.

Classes start on Wednesday. I’d expect a big male crowd on Wednesday. Women will be going through sorority recruitment.

I was at the ARC and it actually had a little noise... some crowd engagement-booing bad calls cheering appropriately...better than the ominous quiet. Was it just me or did anyone else feel some atmosphere? Also it was crazy for Schmidt to shoot 2 absolute brick airballs and then bury 2 dagger threes... And it seemed the upper deck was maybe 30-40 percent occupied...

I do like that Rev has started that "scratch my back I'll scratch yours" thing going. As in, support my team and Ill support yours. Good to get any sort of support out of the students and fill up the lower bench side tho. The only section that looked devoid of life was E. I do think that in order to fill the chairbacks, they either cannot be 30 dabloons, or the team needs to get to a point of refilling the Mez to get people to buy them out. I think its a win that the Mez was needed today however. As well as there being some semblance of noise coming out of the faithful.

Heh Heh. I actually tried to rally the crowd with about 1:30 on the clock. No one wanted to stand up and scream with me however...
