@valpo88 I hope they contacted Waddle first. There is always room to appeal/negotiate — especially given Waddle needs to be shown that he is fully supported by the administration.
Paul posted a new X. Caden Tonsager confirmed his new FB home is Winona State ☹️ Warriors are NCAA D-II. So maybe some scholly $$ involved, and it’s just about as close to their hometown as was Eau Claire - under a 2 hour drive. On January 8th they announced an interim HFB coach - that’s a bit of a headscratcher though.
Sounds like a scholarship difference, unfortunately. Only so much Valpo can do in such situations where this exists.

@valpofb16, I always appreciate your updates. Based on the "other offers" listings for these players, can we surmise how the new coaching staff is doing on recruiting? I'm familiar with most of these schools by name only, at most, rather than knowing their FB programs. Thank you.
Class is incomplete but I think all things considered Waddles group is doing a good job. They are recruiting kids from well known larger schools and many have other colleges that wanted them D2 and above.
Back during the Cecchini days the other offers slate was blank about 50% of the time. Fox and Waddle have upped that (probably due to programs increased RELATIVE success).
Personally, I’m impressed how quick they’ve pulled this together. That does not mean on field results immediately as we will be extremely green on defense.
The real question will be is if we can graduate more than 50% of the class at Valpo. It’ll be interesting. Fox rode it out with his upperclassmen in 2019 , Cecchini had pretty much all freshman in at least one offense his first recruiting cycle.
The class is coming together, certainly need a couple of RB's and a QB. I am sure there will be others.
