Disney owns both HULU and ESPN+ so because it isn't listed anywhere on the ESPN schedule I guessing that it will not come on or have much chance for a ESPN+ replay. I'm not happy but don't yet know who to blame. Should I sell my Disney shares?Confirmed that the game is live on Hulu but not on ESPN+.
except it is listed on espn+ as 'upcoming'
@justducky ESPN works as a different department entirely under the Disney umbrella. Id blame espn
It's working now
These are the matchups where not having a true 5 man shows up. Lots of rebounds for UIC that don't happen if they don't have that handed height
Oof. Tough one. Rebounding and free throws killed us.
Rebounding, free throws. Concur. All Wright, lotta upside. Shaw and McNair No Shows.
The missing true 5 is glaring. Team has narrowed the gap. Still think they shoot to many 3's and Cooper should be getting more shots. Crowd looked asleep for most of the game.
I think the Kool Aid I drank after the three game streak is starting to hurt my stomach.
Only 8 bench points with 6 by DeAveiro and very few minutes for Shaw, Ellis and McNair. What happened to the deep and talented 9 man (no center) rotation we pictured a couple weeks ago? Agree that not having a true 5 will cost us some games and Im thinking that going small vs Drake is likely not going to work as well the second time around.Rebounding, free throws. Concur. All Wright, lotta upside. Shaw and McNair No Shows.

The very visible size disparity was glaring when in the building...many times our guards were stuck with a 6 inch disadvantage... the offensive rebounds off missed free throws is getting too regular...even with good position monegro or schmidt couldnt secure the ball. Ellis minutes have just disappeared. Refs were not particularly kind especially to Cooper. Kinda bummmed because going forward I dont see how we close out games when we go this small...
Bad loss. Lack of fundamentals killed us in this one. No blocking out leads to way too many second chances, more missed bunnies around the basket (at least 4 this game), and thinking that the help defender is not going to stick their hand in when you are trying to post someone up. I never get how D-1 college basketball players don't notice the second defender that is creeping towards them when they are trying to make a post move for 5 seconds. That's way too easy to disrupt, and needs to be quicker decision-making on our part. This is a game that we should have won, and though we are better than last season, our weaknesses are starting to show more in conference play. I understand that they aren't part of the rotation, but why not try Louth or Scroggins when Sepp and Cooper had 2 fouls in the first half, and we were giving up offensive rebounds left and right? In a worst case scenario, they just take a few fouls away from other teammates, and present wider/taller bodies against their bigs that had a rebounding advantage.
Roger was very open about the weaknesses of his small lineup against teams like UIC in the post game presser. Pretty much outright said that Louth and Scroggins are going to get chances to prove themselves in the next couple games.
The fact that Powell didn’t recognize or even anticipate that he needed play Louth and Scroggins some minutes during the game is disappointing. It was my biggest concern going into the game.
Side bar to this game thread: Tyler surpassed 2,500 career collegiate points v. UIC. I hope the recent JUCO ruling will incorporate NAIA so he’ll have another year with us. He’s a hometown kid and deserves that.
@vulb62 he should be able to get another year because of the "Non NCAA" distinction made by the release regarding the Pavia case. If he wants it, he will fight for it in the off-season. But his remarks made during the post game presser made it seem like his priorities are on the court right now and not in the court room
