An assistant position Coach does not do much at the Colegiate level and is usually a volunteer.
thats how you build a coaching tree at this level. Get as many GAs and volunteer help as possible. Hope some pan out and remain loyal to the coach. Way more cost effective than hiring out

I think Mr or Mrs "support"'s characterization of this guy as a glorified water boy is likely the closest to the truth. Valpo's not making this "announcement". It's coming from the writer.

There is no evidence that he does. He does not appear on the FB staff directory (which is updated rather quickly with changes). There has been no announcement. No mention on any Valpo X site. And no mention on the unofficial football insider X site Valpo_huddle. Everything, so far, is speculation based on HIS X post. I recall back a few years some kid announcing he had committed to VU basketball ……. but it was a scam. And a lot of us on this board got sandbagged by that. Let’s wait to judge till there is something concrete.

So someone who is apparently a "kid" is running around saying he is being paid by a University which has yet to even acknowledge a relationship at all and that's going to lead to the type of cantankerous responses you've put up?

And where do you see/hear that? Unless you are privy to other forms of his communication, we have only his one X post to go on, and nowhere in that post is their any mention of “paid.”
Agree with 24. Embarrassing? Seriously doubt it and certainly not until all the facts are out. So lets keep it the mole hill it is. You may not realize it, but this type of overreaction undermines our new staff and makes their job just that much harder.

Not clear on what you think I've posted regarding Valpo football but I have criticized the program in the past.
Your question of What does this do I'll respond with What does what do? A twitter post not responded to in any fashion where there's been no other acknowledgement from any party? It would do nothing. If you tell me he's the OL coach or even assistant OL coach it would be a different story.
Valpo put out a social media post looking for student managers around the same time this guy's post appeared. Maybe that's what he's thinking.
Maybe Paul can find out. He's "lucky" enough to be followed by this guy.
