What an impressive performance! Great to get a dominating win at Arch Madness.

Our defense was inspired. If our 3 point shots would have been dialed in we could have won by 40. What’s an outstanding performance.

A win over UNI would be very shocking. Don' think Cooper can have the same success as he did against the Flames. We have no one to match up against Titan Anderson. UNI will have to shoot ice cold to loose.

Did Ellis, Coulibaly, and Scroggins even make the trip down to STL? Surprised they couldn’t even get garbage minutes. I have to think that all three are moving on after the season.

When was the last time we had a beat down like this? Maybe early in the season against the Little Sisters of the Poor?

UNI will be an interesting matchup, as they are not the type of big team that gives us trouble, like several other MVC teams have done.  Tytan had 17 FT attempts in the first game, and was the only player that really did anything against us.

This is true, so I wanted to look if that game was a mirage for UNI or if it is who they are.

Hutson played 20 minutes, but from what I can tell from doing the research, he probably shouldn't have played. He sprained his ankle just 3 days earlier against Belmont. In that game, he played 8 minutes before that happened, and in those 8 minutes he had 5 points already. Apparently, he was a game-time decision and played because they were missing two other players/starters due to injury and had already pulled the redshirt off of a kid who was going to redshirt, Redek Born, who ended up playing 15 against us.

One of those players, RJ Taylor, was their starting PG and was still out with a ruptured Achilles less than a month earlier. The other player who missed that game and is playing now is Cael Schmitt, who missed the first half of the season recovering from a knee surgery. He isn't a stat sheet player but was a four-time first-team all-conference player at the D3 he played at, a three-time defensive player of the year, and a finalist for the National POY. His entire thing is to solidify the defense and disrupt on that end.

Trey Cambpell went 0-3 from deep and 2-6 from the floor. If he repeats that performance, we have a shot. He's made 4+ 3-point field goals 9 times this year and shoots 43% overall from deep. Looking at their losses, they tend to happen when he has an off-shooting night: 0-3 Sunday vs Bradley, 2-8 vs Drake, 1-5 vs Wichita State, 1-6 vs. Washington State, 1-4 vs SIU less than a week before our game. Seems like he hit a funk over Christmas break- 4 games over that period, and he was 3-18 for 16%. That means he has shot 46% from deep the rest of the season.

In our favor Leon Bond went down with a knee injury on January 25 against Indiana State. He was averaging 11 points and 5 rebounds per game going into that one. Reports were it was season ending, but he got 7 minutes at Bradley this past Sunday. I doubt we'll see much of him, which will help us.

There's a real chance to pull it off and make a run this weekend.

He started but only played 14 mins of which 4 were at the end of the game. They were going 4 guards at some points with Shaw and Sepp getting non Schweiger minutes. The biggest difference offensively was a much more aggressive Cooper and an efficient game from Wright.
