I gave up hope 3 different times. Twice for us and once for the Panthers.

It was a roller coaster game watching. Props to all the fans who cheered them on in StL (hope to make it there one year). Watched all the tourney games so far and VU has brought the energy especially for a lower seed. Proud of the hustle and although we know All and Coop are the scorers, its  happened with defense and that takes all 5 guys on the court.

How often did the opponent shoot above their average 3pt % or get easy looks inside during the regular season. While I’d hope they show the same effectiveness during the season, they have stepped up the D another notch at Arch madness. Most importantly they’re having fun while seeing success.

Coop is Mr. Consistency and when Carson is in there it’s an added bonus. They have natural synergy even though Carson is learning on the fly with the expanded playing time.

All has grown tremendously. He may shoot a lot but what other player have we seen have a few misses and turn it into an absolute heater. No doubt the big schools will be calling but I hope he realizes that the next year or two he has a legit chance at player of the year in the conference if he sticks around. I don’t expect the same leeway at a P5 school…but with Roger at the helm he’ll get to lead the Beacons. Regardless, his passion has hooked me as a fan. He simply loves being out there.

Schmidt has been making more defensive plays once his offense has been harder to come by. He is a patient smart player. Kaspar gets in everyone’s business and with managed minutes he can still positively impact the game.

Jeff has been quicker on D but I’m not sure he’ll ever have any “touch” when around the basket. Justus has been very sharp on D as well, and should develop to an efficient scorer once he realizes when and when not to shoot. Shaw has shown ability to spark the team with energy in limited minutes as well. Unsure anyone else’s future but it all comes down to learning roles that work best for the team…only so many minutes per game.

for now I’m just enjoying my favorite sports season…March

UNI message boards are in a mood. Questioning was it a great win over UIC or UIC just playing bad.How can we loose to Valpo twice... One poster doesn't understand how All Wright slipped through the cracks and ended up in Northwest Indiana, he's a hell of a player.

We've seen them play really well in stretches all season long. These last two games when it really-really matters right? Now I think it's going to be conditioning to go with their VU pride. Coach has touted we're building something here all season. This is it to this point and I am one to say go get another today!

Cooper has picked up the aggressiveness the last few games. He's turning into a much better player. That has it's immediate plusses and possibly longer term minuses. He was meek and showed a distinct lack of confidence early in the season. Now he's demanding the ball and playing pretty solid defense. Much different and better player.

His shot blocking and double digit RBs are what has really impressed me in the latter half of the season and even more so the last two games.  Wondering about those minuses, 24?

I'll put it this way...we're not the only ones noticing I'm sure.

@jd24 -  agreed, time to increase the NIL reward. Padilla is there, he needs to influence and grease donor hands and make it happen.  Valpo has something good here if they don’t mess it up and go cheap.

Today and tomorrows games are not on ESPN+ and they are on CBS Sports Network.

As far as NIL is concerned, I guess you just need to hope that this streak will spark some life into donors and potential NIL investors

I'd rather hope that not every college basketball player is out to make some money and that some form of loyalty still exists, but that could just be me yearning for the times of old.  Neither Cooper nor All received much D-1 interest, from what I remember, and I would have used that to fuel me, similar to Alec Peters.
