Regarding Krikke, he graduated! He had one more year of eligibility because of Pandemic granted to him. He had a great 4 years career at Valpo, all of his coaches were let go, and he had opportunities. Why wouldn’t he go to a power conference?
Schmidt is not on scholarship? If that is the case, he is the greatest walk-on in Valpo history over the last 25 years, even considering guys like Kiser and Toatley.
I just checked Paul's articles on additions from last season and can confirm. Tyler Schmidt was considered a walk on
I would highly recommend listening to Paul's podcast from the ride home yesterday. Really good piece.
I have to believe that Powell will try his best to get Always Right at Valpo, regardless of the A-10 speculation for VCU.
Wow on Tyler didn’t know that evidently. Then we have one open scholarship before portal season. That’s JT Pettigrew.
who appears to be a bit of what this team needs. Any non rotation piece bolts, I’m calling Always Wright
Great piece. Most of which I agree with. Insults for EVERYBODY.I would highly recommend listening to Paul's podcast from the ride home yesterday. Really good piece.

One of us should start a Paul Oren podcast thread on the Valley Fan Board. It is time to rile things up and sell some Victory Bell subscriptions. Enough of us post over there to fan the flames for discussion. Could you do the honors because I've forgotten how?

I really don't think they would enjoy his podcasts mostly because of the shade he throws at Bradley and the MVC
And you care about their negative reaction because???? Or could Paul have been a bit off center?Great piece. Most of which I agree with. Insults for EVERYBODY.I would highly recommend listening to Paul's podcast from the ride home yesterday. Really good piece.

@justducky Fair point I guess. If I cared about what they say I wouldn't keep coming back 🤣 . Seeing as I already am their punching bag, I guess it wouldn't hurt. Got to say though, pretty rich claiming valpo fans are "Some of the lowest IQ fans"
You might suddenly become the voice of reason! Naaa Even I can't imagine that.@justducky Fair point I guess. If I cared about what they say I wouldn't keep coming back 🤣 . That comment of theirs definitely got under my skin and I am very anti social media. I actually posted.
One premature thought on the portal... obviously love to keep Wright. 100%. But we do have Stafford who is a known commodity and I believe Justus will make a leap- just too talented not to. Monegro just improves touch a little and we can replace Wrights high volume production. They key is keeping Cooper and Carson. Thats it. Adding a pettigrew with those two and our existing guards we can still improve even without wright. Take away the beast that cooper has become and I dunno feels like starting over.
If we lose Wright and Cooper that would signal that the Powell approach isn't working and I would be gone also never again to be a fan of any mid major or Power conference team. I would be done. Over! Finished! I find this whole farm team, me first, money grab instability to be both foreign, offensive and destabilizing enough that it could undermine the entire foundation of college sports.
