@jd24 Or a much, much more far-fetched scenario for Carson: He’s waiting on Cooper to narrow the field and possibly jump aboard in a “package deal.” 🤯😵💫
That occurred to me also. Maybe Coop takes only 1/2 million NIL package if Carson can tag along and get some playing time.@jd24 Or a much, much more far-fetched scenario for Carson: He’s waiting on Cooper to narrow the field and possibly jump aboard in a “package deal.” 🤯😵💫

Yeah. Maybe. However if the portal doesn't bring in better players than Carson in the first place, we ain't goin' nowhere anyway.
the team quality will decrease going to the HL, whether you win or not. As for just wanting to win, I don't deal well with particpation trophies for my experience as a
Kudos to you for being that rare Valpo fan who did not come aboard until we joined the MVC. Not common. The Bryce/Homer years were just participation trophies in the eyes of @USC4valpo. Just wow on that statement in diminishing the entire history that built the Valpo name in college basketball. Our origin is the Mid-Con which was an absolute bottom feeder in the college basketball world. Sad that you have no respect for it as a dance dad.
not sure where you are going on this dude, but I’ve watched Valpo basketball since the early 80s. And I’m the last person who would promote participation trophy’s. Enjoy your PBRs.
Wherever Cooper ends up, if on a P4 team, Carson would be wise to stay put and get the playing time he needs. He isn't going to get any playing time at a P4. Now, if Cooper goes somewhere in the A-10 or lower Big East teams, maybe Carson could get a few spot minutes.
Agree. Carson should stay and soak up minutes. He seems like he could develope into a decent contributor next year. What we need is for Sepp to grow 5 inches LOL because pretty sure he isnt in portal.
Did someone say Monegro was in the portal? Thats kind of odd. Dont see much of a market but what do I know

I’ll settle for 3”, 30# and hard work on his 3 pointer. FWIW, he’s the poster child for what I would expect from a European player. Unselfish, team player, understands the full scope of the game on the floor.
💡 💡💡 Why don’t we go back to the future? Homer mined gold in Europe. Why not, along with promising, but overlooked, US HS prospects concentrate on international players? We’ve already got a 6’9” Kiwi.
Why should we do this? Because they have, over time, demonstrated great shooting mechanics and a pliant approach to the game. They, also, may not be drinking the NIL cool aid. And it seems few MMs are doing it.
Shoot for a roster spread of ⅓ HS, ⅓ upperclass xfers, and ⅓ mature international players?
Lubos can be the key here.
Im behind the curve...whats the name of the new zealand guy
Here ya go.
Not sure if this has been shared elsewhere on the board, but Valpo has landed a new verbal commit!

Big man skills on display. Another hidden gem?

What's the word on Scroggins?
If we have a true 5, Sepp can be the 3 or 4, and doesn't need to score. He can still play his facilitator role with occasional scoring, and a solid #2 rebounder versus whomever the 5 will be.

The only way this works is with 4 other guys on the court nearly all of the time Sepp is on the court who is a threat offensively....at least on any consistent basis. Sepp should be a reserve capable of filling in at a couple of spots. It's not a knock on him because the effort is always there but he's limited.
The guy I can't figure out is Isaiah Shaw. On the court he looks like he can play but it seems to nearly never work. He's got some size, he looks like a shooter, he'll take it to the hole and doesn't lack aggression. Yet.....nothing happens and often what happens is exactly what you don't want to happen.
Funny thing is...in watching Grand Canyon for a few games this season....his brother Caleb is like a righthanded version of Isaiah although he's a bit better. Looks the part completely but something is missing.
