I was thinking the same thing.
I am sure there is a basic fee to compensate their assembly of a candidate list. But, I believe that search firms makes the big bucks on a %age of the salary of the eventual candidate that was hired on their recommendation. I don’t think Boyd had her resume on the street and was well under the radar. So it sounds like Boyd was an outlier and not on that list. But who knows…
